Destiny 2 Glorious Title Guide: Every Triumph and How to Earn It

Introduced during Destiny 2's Season of the Seraph, the Glorious title replaced the older Unbroken title as the pinnacle Crucible pursuit. Bungie overhauled Competitive PvP with a divisional ranking system, a new 3v3 playlist, and nine Triumphs tied to the Glorious seal. Some of these objectives can be completed through normal play. Others demand a significant grind in the Competitive playlist. This guide breaks down every requirement and what players can do to finish them efficiently.

Forever Valorous

Forever Valorous requires earning 10 Crucible Ranks across all seasons. Valor is the main Crucible reputation system. It rises after every Quickplay, rotator, Trials of Osiris, and Iron Banner match. Many veteran players will have finished this Triumph without noticing. Newer players should not farm Valor separately. Other Glorious Triumphs will force them through enough matches to complete this one naturally.

Prestigious

Prestigious asks players to reset their Crucible Rank three times. A reset becomes available at rank 16, which sits at 10,000 Valor points. After reaching max rank, players must claim every reward from Lord Shaxx in the Tower. That process resets the rank to zero. Powerful Engrams, cosmetics, and an Ascendant Shard are among the rewards. The three resets do not need to happen in a single season. Casual players can spread them out across multiple seasons to avoid burnout.

Decathlete

Decathlete tracks how many different Crucible game types a player completes. It specifically counts match modes rather than playlists. Survival, Showdown, and Rift are three separate game types inside the Competitive playlist. Playing Competitive can therefore give progress toward three of the ten needed game types.

The available modes include:

• Clash

• Momentum Control

• Mayhem

• Team Scorched

• Iron Banner variants

• Trials of Osiris Survival

• Crucible Labs Rift

• Rift 3v3

• Showdown

• Survival

A player who rotates through the weekly featured modes will complete this Triumph quickly.

Gold Medalist

Gold Medalist requires three gold-tier Crucible medals. Duplicate medals count, so a player does not need three different gold medals. Gold-tier medals are awarded for high-impact plays. They can be checked under the Medals section of the Triumphs tab.

Some of the more attainable options include:

• Annihilation: Land final blows on the entire enemy team before any of them respawn.

• Power Overwhelming: In Control, defeat all opposing Guardians at least once during a single Power Play.

• Saladin's Run: Complete a Rift match with two or more carries and a 100 percent capture rate.

These medals can take time, but they will come through aggressive objective play.

Placement Series Matches

This Triumph is simple but important. Players must complete their first seven Placement Series matches in the Competitive playlist. These matches use a wide matchmaking range to determine a starting division. Placement matches will set a player somewhere between Copper and Gold. To earn the Glorious title, that starting rank is only the first step. Players will eventually need Platinum Division.

Division Promotion

After maxing out reputation inside a Competitive Division, players enter a Promotion Series. They must win two of the next three Competitive matches to climb to the next division. Losing two games triggers a Relegation Series instead. A Relegation Series requires two wins to avoid dropping a division. This system makes Competitive play tense. Players should warm up in Quickplay before starting a Promotion Series. A prepared fireteam and a level head are also useful.

Division Debut

Division Debut requires completing Competitive 3v3 matches. Wins grant bonus progress. Early API information suggested one hundred matches, but many players completed it well before that number. Because Climbing the Ladder already forces a lot of Competitive play, this Triumph will usually be finished along the way.

Players should take breaks after losses, practice in Quickplay, and use a meta-appropriate loadout. During the Season of the Seraph era, strong options included Pulse Rifles, Titan Storm Grenades, Barricades, and Hunter invisibility.

Climbing the Ladder

Climbing the Ladder requires reaching Platinum Division. Platinum is the fifth Competitive Division and unlocks at 4,750 points. Aggressive skill-based matchmaking and ability-heavy gameplay make this the toughest gate for many players. Raw gun skill matters, but patience and team coordination matter more.

Players should refine a dedicated PvP build, use armor mods, and get comfortable with a small set of weapons. Pulse Rifles, Dead Man's Tale, and Fusion Rifles were reliable choices. There are no shortcuts. Repetition is the only route.

Get Those Reps

Get Those Reps asks players to earn 200 points by completing objectives in the Competitive 3v3 playlist. Points come from capturing and dunking sparks in Rift, eliminating enemies in Showdown, and winning rounds in Survival. Like Division Debut, this Triumph is a volume challenge. Players should play the objective whenever possible, but they should also support their team. A player who ignores team positioning will struggle to win rounds and matches.

Because many of these Triumphs overlap, players can make meaningful progress on multiple objectives at once. The main gates are Platinum Division and the 200 objective points in Get Those Reps. A patient player with a solid fireteam and a refined build will eventually unlock the Glorious seal. The title remains one of Destiny 2's clearest flexes for dedicated Crucible players.
