Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph: A Guide to Weekly Seasonal Challenges

More Than A Weapon I

This challenge appears every week in a recurring form. Guardians complete the current batch of quest steps for 'More Than a Weapon,' the seasonal storyline quest. Those steps push players through seasonal activities, offer new gear, and reveal the hunt for Rasputin's fragments with the Clovis Bray AI. Each weekly completion grants an Exo Frame Module and Challenger XP+.
Frozen Lightning

The task is simple: deal Stasis or Arc final blows in Heist Battlegrounds. Equipping a Stasis or Arc subclass helps, as do Energy and Power weapons with matching elements. Most players will finish this organically while running the seasonal activity.
Moon Activities

On the Moon, progress comes from completing bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors. Guardians may need to progress the Shadowkeep expansion before bounties become available. The Moon's mix of Fallen scavengers and Hive makes this challenge straightforward.
Long-Range Calibration

Long-range weapons such as Pulse Rifles, Bows, and Trace Rifles must be used for Moon kills. Lost Sectors provide bonus progress. Sorrow's Harbor is a great spot because Hive spawn continuously during the public activity there, making it easy to rack up final blows.
Spark Defender

This PvP challenge sends Guardians into the Rift mode. Points are scored when a team deposits the Spark in the enemy rift, and bonus progress is awarded for igniting the Rift personally. Protecting the Spark carrier is essential. Brave players who carry the Spark themselves will complete the challenge faster.
Heist Battlegrounds I

In Heist Battlegrounds or Legend Heist Battlegrounds, Guardians need to open five Seraph Chests and defeat fifty powerful Hive combatants. Each Seraph Chest costs 500 Seraph Key Codes. Those codes drop from most activities, so saving up and spending them at the end of a Heist Battleground is the main loop.
Precision Loadout

Bows and Linear Fusion Rifles are the focus here. Guardians need final blows with those weapons and precision final blows in Heist Battlegrounds. Combining this challenge with Spark Defender in Rift can offer bonus progress against Guardians, but some Heist Battleground time is still required for the precision portion.
Taking All Challenges

Weekly playlist challenges are a familiar sight. Completing three strikes with the correct Vanguard burn counts as one weekly challenge completion. It may feel slow at first, but playing different playlist activities across the season will finish this challenge naturally.
Dredgin' Up Victory

Gambit matches are required, and wins grant bonus progress. Players who dislike Gambit can wait until more Gambit-related weekly challenges appear and complete them together. Those who enjoy the mode can simply play and progress.
Hive Slayer

Defeating Hive in Vanguard playlists or strikes completes this challenge, with tougher enemies granting bonus progress. Running The Scarlet Keep strike repeatedly is an efficient method. It also contributes to Moon Activities and Long-Range Calibration if the correct bounties and weapons are equipped.
Together, these challenges outline a productive early-season path through Season of the Seraph. They reward consistent play, encourage revisiting the Moon and Crucible, and help Guardians earn Bright Dust and XP while advancing the Rasputin storyline.
Trends are identified by PC Gamer, a long-running outlet that contextualizes live-service grinds and buildcrafting decisions; applying that lens to Season of the Seraph’s Week 1 challenges, the smartest routing is to stack objectives in the same sessions—run Heist Battlegrounds on Arc or Stasis to advance Frozen Lightning while using a Bow/Linear Fusion for Precision Loadout, then pivot to the Moon for bounties and Sorrow’s Harbor farming to finish Moon Activities and Long-Range Calibration, keeping Bright Dust and XP gains efficient rather than bouncing between playlists without overlap.
