Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph: All 25 Seraph Cipher Artifact Mods

Destiny 2's Seraph Cipher artifact and Season of the Seraph mods reshaped endgame buildcrafting via powerful Champion counters and damage boosts.

The Seraph Cipher artifact arrived with Destiny 2's Season of the Seraph. It delivered 25 unlockable mods that changed how many players tackled endgame activities. Some of these mods were simple Champion counters or minor stat bumps. Others were so potent that they became defining parts of the season's buildcrafting meta.

From a solo damage boost to a nerfed version of Breach and Clear, the Seraph Cipher offered a wide range of build options. The final column, in particular, contained effects that players tested extensively after unlocking the full artifact.

Column One: Champion Disruption

The first column focused on Champion counters and cost one or three energy.

  • Unstoppable Hand Cannon — Arms, 1 energy. Aiming down sights with any Hand Cannon loaded a powerful explosive payload that stunned unshielded combatants. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.

  • Overload Scout Rifle — Arms, 1 energy. Consecutive hits with any Scout Rifle disrupted combatants, stunning them, delaying ability regeneration, and lowering combatant damage output. After any fireteam member disrupted a Champion, Scout Rifles temporarily dealt bonus damage against Champions.

  • Piercing Bowstring — Arms, 1 energy. Bows gained shield-piercing arrows that bypassed combatant defenses. Strong against Barrier Champions.

  • Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifle — Arms, 1 energy. Pulse Rifles fired shield-piercing rounds and stunned Barrier Champions. Pulse Rifles also dealt bonus damage against Barrier Champions.

  • Overload Rounds (SMG & AR) — Arms, 3 energy. Uninterrupted fire from equipped Auto Rifles and SMGs granted rounds that stunned combatants, delayed ability regeneration, and lowered combatant damage output. Strong against Overload Champions.

Column Two: Handling and Mobility

The second column offered utility effects tied to weapons, Origin Traits, and mobility.

  • Grenade Launcher Holster — Legs, 1 energy. Gradually reloaded stowed Power Grenade Launchers over time. Multiple copies of this perk stacked to reduce the time needed to fully reload.

  • Legacy Ambush — Helmet, 1 energy. Increased the duration and effectiveness of the Ambush Origin Trait and the Bray Inheritance Origin Trait.

  • In-Flight Compensator — Helmet, 3 energy. Increased the airborne effectiveness of all equipped weapons.

  • Bow Dexterity — Arms, 1 energy. Faster ready and stow speed for Bows.

  • Mobile Retrofit — Legs, 3 energy. Provided a flat +5 Mobility bonus.

Column Three: Stats and Resistance

This column mixed weapon perks with survivability and stat increases.

  • Hand Cannon Targeting — Helmet, 1 energy. Improved target acquisition, accuracy, and aim-down-sights speed for Hand Cannons.

  • Pulse Rifle Loader — Arms, 1 energy. Increased reload speed of Pulse Rifles.

  • Energy Diffusion Substrate — Chest, 1 energy. Gained a small amount of resistance to all damage dealt by combatants. Additional copies of this mod stacked to increase the effect.

  • Sharp Shooting — Helmet, 1 energy. Greatly increased the duration and effectiveness of the Tex Balanced Stock Origin Trait and the Veist Stinger Origin Trait.

  • Resilient Retrofit — Chest, 4 energy. Provided a flat +5 Resilience bonus.

Column Four: Champion Utility and Combat Styles

The fourth column introduced more Champion tools and a Combat Style mod.

  • Unstoppable Grenade Launcher — Arms, 7 energy. When readying or reloading a Grenade Launcher, that weapon stunned Unstoppable Champions for a short period.

  • Counter Charge — Combat Style, 3 energy. Became Charged with Light whenever the player or a fireteam member stunned a Champion.

  • Advance Scout — Class, 1 energy. Champions stunned by the player took additional damage from teammates.

  • Lord Kelvin's Basilisk — Class, 1 energy. Void and Stasis grenades caused disruption, delaying ability regeneration and lowering combatant damage output. Strong against Overload Champions.

  • Low Entropy Superconductor — Class, 1 energy. Stasis and Arc melee abilities stunned unshielded combatants. Strong against Unstoppable Champions.

Column Five: Powerful Combat Mods

The final column housed the most impactful and expensive mods in the Seraph Cipher.

  • Passive Aggressive Guard — Class, 6 energy. Received less damage from combatants that were close while wielding a Glaive.

  • Weakened Clear — Class, 5 energy. When using a Grenade Launcher, damaging a boss, damaging a Champion, or breaking a shield reloaded stowed weapons and weakened the combatant. This was widely considered a strong successor to previous weaken effects.

  • Monochromatic Maestro — Class, 6 energy. Dealing damage with elemental abilities granted increased damage to weapons of the same element for a short duration. Dealing damage with elemental weapons granted increased damage to abilities of the same element for a short duration.

  • Solo Operative — Class, 5 energy. While the player was the only member of their fireteam, they dealt increased damage to all combatants. This mod quickly became a favorite for solo dungeon runs and lost sector farming.

  • Lucent Finisher — Class, 3 energy. Defeating a Lucent Hive Lightbearer or Champion with a finisher spawned Heavy ammo for the player and allies.

The Seraph Cipher gave Guardians plenty of tools to experiment with. While the first four columns provided solid utility, the final column's damage and resource effects made Season of the Seraph a memorable period for build crafting in Destiny 2.
