Destiny 2 Week 2 Challenges: Back to the Deep in 2026
Dominate Destiny 2's Season of the Deep week two challenges to swiftly rank up and collect Bright Dust.
Well, well, well, look what Bungie dredged up from the methane oceans. It’s 2026, and somehow the echoes of Season of the Deep are back to soak our boots again. Week two of this salty nostalgia trip has landed, bringing ten fresh Seasonal Challenges that feel like a warm, brine-soaked hug from a Hive Wizard. Grab your favorite slug thrower and your waterproof Ghost shell—we’re diving into the murk to farm XP, hoard Bright Dust, and probably die to a random Supplicant in a Lost Sector.
Before we spin up the activity playlist, a quick reminder: these challenges are time-limited triumphs that pump up your Season Pass rank faster than a Hunter dodgerolling out of a bad date. Each one drops a generous payload of experience and Bright Dust, so skipping them is like leaving a Legendary Engram on the ground. Let’s wade through the whole list, loot the juicy bits, and maybe crack a few jokes at the expense of the Taken.
🔱 Into the Depths II

Complete the Week 2 “Into the Depths” mission.
This is the seasonal story beat that yanks you back to Titan’s rusted platforms. Week two asks you to run a Salvage op and then do the weekly narrative mission. Honestly, it’s easier than convincing a Warlock to share their Well of Radiance. Just follow the quest marker, shoot the baddies, and listen to Drifter’s questionable motivational speeches. The mission itself is a cakewalk compared to the trauma of hearing “You’re being invaded” in Gambit. Finish it, claim your chunk of XP, and pretend you’re totally invested in the lore.
⚓ Front Line Salvager II

Open chests in Salvage. Redeeming Salvage Keys grants additional progress. Additionally, defeat Taken anywhere in the system.
Ah, Salvage—the activity where you frolic through submerged hallways while pretending the pressure would crush your Ghost into a tin can. You need to crack open three chests and erase 50 Taken. If you’ve been hoarding Salvage Keys like a packrat, now’s the time to burn them for bonus progress. Otherwise, just queue up three runs and let the ballet of arc explosions do the work. For the Taken part, pop over to the Dreaming City and terrorize some Riven’s leftovers. Those snickering Vandals have been mocking our aim for years; it’s payback time.
💪 Powerful Salvager

Defeat powerful combatants in Salvage activities.
Translation: bully 50 orange-bar and above enemies until they drop their lunch money. Powerful combatants are the chunky boys—Knights, Captains, Wizards, and that one Ogre who always spawns when you’re reloading. Bring a build that chews through majors like a Cabal war beast on a rampage. A well-rolled fusion rifle or a bonk-happy Titan hammer will make this challenge vanish in one or two runs. If you’re feeling spicy, equip the Legend of Acrius and introduce every major to the business end of a shotgun that fires pure disrespect.
🔫 Antithetical Armaments

Defeat targets with Shotguns or Sniper Rifles. Defeated Guardians or defeated combatants in Salvage or Deep Dive activities grant additional progress.
150 kills with shotguns or sniper rifles? That’s basically a Tuesday for anyone who’s ever panic-swapped to a Matador in Crucible. Salvage and Deep Dive enemies count double, so I’d throw on a rapid-fire shotgun like the Fourth Horseman and go full doomguy in the seasonal playlist. If you prefer reaching out and touching someone, Cloudstrike turns entire squads into chain lightning firecrackers. Just watch out for the “missed sniper shot” shame spiral—we’ve all been there.
👑 Throne World Activities

In the Throne World, complete bounties and earn progress by completing patrols, public events, and looting Lost Sectors.
Savathûn’s swampy real estate is calling, and it’s not just because Fynch yells “Fresh Hive, get your fresh Hive!” every twenty seconds. Grab a stack of bounties from our favorite nervous Ghost, then run the Extraction Lost Sector. It’s so packed with adds you’ll finish weapon kills, ability bounties, and your daily dose of cardio all at once. Public events and patrols also chip in, but Lost Sectors are the express lane. You’ll snag 25,000 XP and 75 Bright Dust while probably forgetting you’re still wearing your festival mask.
🤯 Lost in the Legend

Complete a Lost Sector on Legend or higher.
It’s time to rememeber that legend Lost Sectors are both a badge of honor and a test of your sanity. The daily rotating Lost Sector slaps a -15 Power handicap and sprinkles Champions around like confetti at a Hive ritual. If the icon doesn’t show up for you, that means you’ve never cleared the normal version on that character—go do your homework first. Surges and Overcharge modifiers are your best friends, so match that singe and bring weapons that make Barrier Champions cry. Soloing these demands a solid loadout; think Strand Titan with suspend spam or a Warlock phoenix protocol that turns every engagement into a mini sun. Check an endgame build guide if you don’t want to be throwing hands with overload hobgoblins while crying softly.
⚡ Flourish of Power

Defeat Guardians in the Mayhem playlist with Super abilities.
Mayhem: the only place where Shaxx’s scream is actually a lullaby. You need 25 Super kills, which in Mayhem is about as hard as finding a Titan who likes punching. Arc Staff, Nova Bomb, Thundercrash—any “press F to delete” Super will do. My advice? Camp the heavy ammo your first few lives, then go full anime protagonist when your Super meter fills in twelve seconds. If Mayhem isn’t active when you read this, you’ll have to wait for the weekly reset, so maybe go touch grass or work on your Power level. Bright Dust (75) and XP (25,000) are the rewards, and the satisfaction of shutting down a roaming Super with a Silence and Squall is priceless.
🎯 Primeval Entourage

Defeat Taken in Gambit. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.
Gambit is back on the menu, whether you like it or not. You need 100 Taken kills, but big boys count for more. Focus on evaporating those Phalanx blockers before your teammate loses 15 motes to a cliff edge. When the Primeval spawns, unload on its entourage of Taken adds—they’re literally just progress piñatas. This challenge pairs nicely with a side of mild rage when the enemy team’s invader wipes you with a Xenophage from across the map. Deep breaths, Guardian. You’re doing it for the Bright Dust.
🌑 Taken Decimator

Defeat Taken combatants in Vanguard playlists or strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants.
200 Taken kills in Vanguard Ops—time to dust off the old strike playlist. Three strikes are absolutely infested with Taken: Lake of Shadows, The Corrupted, and Hypernet Current. Queue directly into them if you’re in a hurry, and ignore the blueberries who speedrun past every add as if their ship is on fire. Clear the rooms, blast the blights, and watch those numbers climb. Bonus tip: bring Outbreak Perfected; the nanites will mop up everything while you sip your coffee.
🏹 Calibrate Long Range

Calibrate long-range weapons—Pulse Rifles, Bows, and Trace Rifles. Bonus progress is granted for defeating Guardians.
100 kills with pulses, bows, or trace rifles. This challenge pairs beautifully with a Salvage grind, so you can stack progress on several fronts at once. If you want to speed things up, head into Crucible and let the bonus Guardian kills do the heavy lifting. Trinity Ghoul makes every red bar a chain lightning show, and Outbreak Perfected still melts majors like butter in a supernova. Trace rifles like Ager’s Scepter are also top-tier for add-dense activities. Slap on a special ammo finder and go ham.
And there you have it, a full week of challenges that’ll fatten your Season Pass and your Bright Dust hoard. Whether you’re wading through Salvage again or reliving the glory days of the Throne World, these triumphs are the bread and butter of a Guardian’s grind. Now get out there, shoot some Taken, and remember: if you see a Hive Lightbearer, suppress them before they suppress your mood. See you in orbit, and may your RNG ever be generous.
