Destiny 2 Wish Week 2 Challenges: Easy XP & Bright Dust

Blast through Destiny 2 Season of the Wish Week 2 Seasonal Challenges effortlessly with our speedy guide for maximum XP and Bright Dust.

Alright Guardians, grab your favorite light-bearer and a cup of coffee—it's Week 2 of Season of the Wish, and Bungie just dropped a fresh batch of Seasonal Challenges. If you’re anything like me, you want that juicy Season Pass progress without grinding into the void. Well, I’ve got your back. This week’s challenges are surprisingly chill, and I’m gonna show you the fastest, laziest, and most efficient ways to knock them out.

First things first, you’ll need to pick up the seasonal quest from the H.E.L.M. if you haven’t already. Once you’ve done the intro mission, the second week’s story steps will unlock, giving you access to some of these objectives. The bread and butter of this week is a mix of elemental kills, Champion stuns, and a little Crucible action. Nothing too scary, I promise.

Wishseeker II

This one is basically free. Complete Week 2 of “Wishing All the Best.” Just follow the questline after the intro mission. It’s the story progression, so you’re going to do it anyway. Reward: a big chunk of XP and Bright Dust. Easy peasy.

Inner Fires

Get Solar, Void, or Strand final blows. Bonus progress for Scorch, Volatile, or Suspended kills.

Okay, so you need 250 final blows with Solar, Void, or Strand. But here’s the kicker—enemies that are Scorched, Volatile, or Suspended count for double. You know what that means: lean into those keywords. My personal hero for this is Prometheus Lens or Tommy’s Matchbook. Both put a tiny Scorch tick on every hit, so every kill becomes a bonus point. It’s like the game is cheering me on with every trigger pull.

If you’re more of an ability-heavy player, snag the Kindling Trigger artifact perk—it makes all Solar weapons apply Scorch while Radiant. Then just run around with Sunshot, Vex Mythoclast, or Ticuu’s Divination and watch the numbers fly. I’d highly recommend loading into a Lost Sector or Altars of Sorrow on the Moon for some quick horde deleting.

Foes of the Dragon: Taken

Defeat Taken anywhere in the system. Defeating Taken in Riven’s Lair or The Coil grants additional progress. Additionally, complete pathways in Riven’s Lair and The Coil.

You’ll need to slay 125 Taken and complete 8 pathways. A pathway is a full run of Riven’s Lair or a single cycle in The Coil. Now, The Coil showers you with loot, but it’s a marathon—escalating difficulty can make each cycle drag. If you’re just chasing the challenge, spam Riven’s Lair. The boss melts down fast, and you’ll rack up Taken kills naturally.

Pro tip: you don’t have to do this all in the seasonal activity. Any Taken you find wandering around the system counts. Gambit has Taken, Shattered Throne has Taken, hell even patrol zones have them. But honestly, Riven’s Lair is the sweet spot for double dipping pathway completions and kills.

Dragon’s Defender II

Defeat targets with Shotguns or Bows. Gain additional progress from Guardian final blows and final blows within Riven’s Lair or The Coil.

126 kills with shotguns or bows. I could do this in my sleep with Trinity Ghoul and its Catalyst. If you haven’t tried it yet, picture this: one arrow chain-lightnings an entire group of Thrall. It’s an orchestra of arc. Riven’s Lair works beautifully here because of bonus progress, and you’ll be clearing waves like a hot knife through butter. You can also use a rapid-fire shotgun if that’s more your vibe, but trust me, the bow is where the fun is.

Absolutely Stunning

Stun Champions. Reward: 100,000 XP + 300 Bright Dust.

You need 50 stuns. That sounds like a lot, but you can stun the same Champion over and over. I love this because my favorite Stasis subclass just bullies them. Overloads get slowed instantly, Unstoppables shatter out of freeze, and for Barriers, grab the Flint Striker artifact mod to get Radiant, which gives your weapons Anti-Barrier.

Load into a Legend Lost Sector solo. You’ll have all three Champion types in peace, and no one will steal your stuns. Cycle between slowing grenades and your Radiant weapons. You can even let them recover and stun again. Farm that one Overload Captain until he begs for mercy.

The Sun’s Fire

Defeat Guardians with Solar damage in the Crucible. Reward: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust.

25 Solar kills in PvP. Not too painful. Hop into Momentum Control if it’s available—time-to-kill is absurdly fast, and your Sunshot will one-tap heads. Mayhem is also a giggle because you can just spam hammers, blade barrages, and whatever fiery nonsense your class dreams up. Weapons like Tarrabah, Vex Mythoclast, or even a well-rolled BxR-55 Battler will get the job done.

My advice? Don’t overthink it. Equip a solar hand cannon you’re comfortable with, slap on some healing grenades, and just play naturally. You’ll get it in a few games.

Precision Calibration

Calibrate marksman weapons—Scout Rifles, Sniper Rifles, and Linear Fusion Rifles—by landing precision final blows. Bonus progress against Guardians. Reward: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust.

200 precision kills with long-range friends. Scouts are the obvious pick since they have infinite primary ammo. Grab a Transfiguration with rampage and kill clip (yes, it can roll both) or a reliable Exotic like Touch of Malice. The latter even heals you on kill, which is neat for solo farming.

Where to do this? I love loading into The Coil solo. Enemies line up politely for headshots, and you’ll progress other challenges simultaneously. If you want a more controlled environment, the Shuro Chi checkpoint from Last Wish or the start of Grasp of Avarice is a shooting gallery paradise. Pop a head, kill, reload, repeat.

Wrapping Up

And that’s it, folks. A couple hours of relaxed play will clear this week’s list and shower you with XP and Bright Dust. Remember to grab the seasonal artifact mods that make your life easier—Kindling Trigger and Flint Striker are MVPs this season. If you feel like tackling The Coil for extra loot, go for it; otherwise, Riven’s Lair is your comfy couch. Stay awesome, Guardians, and I’ll catch you in Week 3 with another chill guide. ✨
