Horror’s Least in 2026: My Hunt for the Perfect God Roll
Horror’s Least in Destiny 2 remains a thrilling Nightfall chase, with strong god-roll perks for PvE and PvP despite brutal RNG.
Confession time: I am a loot goblin with a Nightfall addiction, and Horror’s Least is my favorite enabler. In 2026, the 2022 rework still matters because this Rapid-Fire Frame Arc pulse rifle remains a Nightfall-only chase, not a craftable handout. Is it worth farming? Oh, absolutely — as long as you enjoy arguing with RNG at 2 a.m. and pretending the next run will definitely be the one.

Horror’s Least is a Rapid-Fire Frame pulse rifle, which means deeper ammo reserves and a faster reload when the magazine is empty. That combination feels lovely in the Crucible, where rapid-fire pulses already have a loyal fan club. It also means the gun can still put in work in PvE, even if it is not the flashiest DPS monster in the sandbox. The rework kept some familiar perks and added new options, so the god roll conversation has changed. My vault has opinions. My Glimmer has concerns.
How do you actually get it? You wait for Horror’s Least to become the featured Nightfall reward, then you run the associated Nightfall — historically tied to The Corrupted in the Dreaming City — until your eyes glaze over. The good news is that when it is the designated reward, you can farm it indefinitely. The bad news is that “indefinitely” is a dangerous word for someone like me. An Adept version also becomes available when Grandmasters are live during its featured week, which is the cherry on top of a very stressful sundae.
The Perks I’m Chasing

First, barrels. I will happily use almost anything except Full Bore, because I like my recoil pattern to resemble a straight line rather than a caffeinated squirrel. Arrowhead Brake and Extended Barrel are my go-to choices for keeping the weapon controllable in both PvE and PvP.
| Slot | My picks | Why I care |
|---|---|---|
| Barrel | Arrowhead Brake, Extended Barrel | Recoil control and general sanity |
| Magazine | Tactical Mag, Steady Rounds, Flared Magwell for PvP; Extended Mag, Appended Mag for PvE | Stability, reload, and more bullets |
| Universal combo | Arrowhead Brake + Tactical Mag | A smooth all-purpose starting point |
For a roll that serves Vanguard, Gambit, and Crucible without throwing a tantrum, Arrowhead Brake plus Tactical Mag is the comfortable baseline. Then we get to the spicy part: the third and fourth columns.
My Favorite Perk Combos
-
Zen Moment / Frenzy — Stability goes up as you deal damage, and Frenzy brings extra damage, handling, and reload speed when enemies are nearby. It is basically a hug from the sandbox.
-
Zen Moment / Kill Clip — Zen Moment keeps the gun steady, and reloading after a kill grants a 33% damage increase. Is there anything more satisfying than turning a duel into a snowball? Yes: doing it while your opponent wonders what happened.
-
Under Pressure / Frenzy — More stability as the magazine gets lower. This is the “I forgot to reload and now I’m nervous” roll, and somehow it works.
-
Heating Up / Frenzy — Stability and accuracy increase with each kill. It rewards momentum, which is exactly what I pretend I have when I’m three games deep and clearly tilted.
For PvP, I lean toward Zen Moment/Kill Clip or Heating Up/Frenzy. For PvE, Frenzy is my comfort blanket, while Kill Clip can be fun for add-clear chains. Rapid-fire pulses are not raid-boss deleters, but they feel excellent when you are moving, shooting, and refusing to admit that you missed a shot.
So, is Horror’s Least still worth farming in 2026? If you like rapid-fire Arc pulses, yes. If you hate Nightfall farming, also yes — but maybe bring a snack. When The Corrupted shows up on the Nightfall board, cancel your plans, stretch your thumbs, and prepare for the sacred ritual of saying “one more run” until the sun comes up. May your barrels be Arrowhead, your magazines be Tactical, and your Kill Clip reloads be perfectly timed. 🎯
