I Revisited Destiny 2's Season of the Seraph Challenges: My Retro Grind Guide
Destiny 2 Season of the Seraph challenges guide offers rewards, tips, and expert strategies for retro-farming weekly objectives efficiently.

Look, I’m not saying I missed Season of the Seraph’s Week 1 checklist, but here I am in 2026, still explaining how to optimize a ten-step grind that once consumed my entire reset day. Was it worth it? Probably not. Would I do it again? Obviously. If you're retro-farming these challenges, this is my first-person, slightly unhinged guide to all ten, complete with rewards, tips, and the exact amount of suffering you're signing up for.

More Than a Weapon I

Rewards: 25,000 XP + Exo Frame Module
This is the seasonal questline, and honestly, it’s the game’s way of saying “go learn the new loop.” Log in, grab the quest, and follow the steps that introduce Heist Battlegrounds and weekly Operation missions. I spent the Exo Frame Module on the upgrade grid immediately, because delayed gratification is for Warlocks with healthier sleep schedules.
Heist Battlegrounds I

Rewards: 25,000 XP + Exo Frame Module
You need to open five Seraph Chests and defeat 50 powerful Hive combatants. Simple, right? Except those chests are locked behind Seraph Key Codes, so my advice is to hoard codes like a dragon with a Vanguard playlist addiction. Farm Vanguard Ops or Crucible for a bit, then jump into Heist Battlegrounds and let the orange and yellow bars feel your anger.
Frozen Lightning

Reward: 25,000 XP
Arc or Stasis final blows—150 of them—in Heist Battlegrounds. Do I need to explain why my Arc Hunter became a walking thunderstorm? No. Equip an Arc or Stasis primary, run a subclass that matches, and you’ll get this done in a couple of runs. If you’re feeling spicy, use abilities too.
Precision Loadout

Reward: 25,000 XP
This one asks for 250 enemy kills and 100 precision final blows in Heist Battlegrounds. The 250 kills can happen anywhere, but the precision part? Heist. I brought a bow, aimed for glowing heads, and whispered “sorry” to every Dreg that exploded. If you still need bodies after the headshot quota, Altars of Sorrow on the Moon is my favorite target-rich environment.
Moon Activities

Rewards: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust
The Moon is more than a big gray rock; it’s a bounty factory. Grab Eris’s bounties and farm the nearest Lost Sectors until your inventory cries. Lost Sectors there are short and packed with enemies. Altars of Sorrow is also a great option if you want to turn the Moon into a Hive blender.
Taking All Challenges

Rewards: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust
Complete three weekly playlist challenges—the ones that award Powerful or Pinnacle gear. That means Vanguard Ops, Crucible, Gambit, dungeons, raids, or seasonal vendor chores. I usually let this one finish itself while I chase other challenges. Lazy? Efficient? Same thing in 2026.
Long-Range Calibration

Rewards: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust
Land 100 final blows with Pulse Rifles, Bows, or Trace Rifles on the Moon. The “on the Moon” part is non-negotiable, so don’t waste time on Europa. I farmed K1 Revelation in Sorrow’s Harbor until my Outbreak Perfected needed a nap. Nightmare Containment also counts, but Lost Sectors are faster.
Dredgin’ Up Victory

Rewards: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust
Gambit. Wins give 20% progress, losses give 13%. At worst, that’s eight matches. Do I enjoy banking motes while Drifter yells about primevals? More than I should. Spread your weekly three Gambit matches across three weeks if you want to preserve your sanity; otherwise, queue up, put on a podcast, and let the motes flow.
Spark Defender

Rewards: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust
Score 50 points in Rift, with bonus progress for igniting the Spark. Grabbing the Spark is the fastest method, but if you’re not the hero type, defend the carrier and clean up attackers. It’ll take a few games, so play the objective and don’t obsess over kill streaks. Yes, I’m talking to you, Crucible lord.
Hive Slayer

Rewards: 25,000 XP + 75 Bright Dust
Defeat 200 Hive combatants in Vanguard Ops or strikes. Boot up The Lightblade or The Scarlet Keep, both of which are basically all-Hive buffets. Kill majors and bosses for bonus progress. This is the easiest way to feel productive while also pretending you didn’t just spend two hours on the Moon.
So there you have it—ten challenges, a pile of XP, and Bright Dust for your Eververse fund. Would I grind these all over again in 2026? Absolutely not. Am I still going to? Probably, because old habits die hard and I love a completed checkbox. See you in the Heist Playlist, Guardian.
