Jorum's Claw Returns to Iron Banner in 2026 – God Rolls and How to Get It

Jorum's Claw Pulse Rifle shines in Destiny 2 Iron Banner, offering powerful PvP and PvE perks for Guardians in 2026.

I still remember the first time I laid hands on the Jorum's Claw Pulse Rifle way back in Year 1 of Destiny 2. It was a decent Solar workhorse then, but the game has changed so dramatically that this reprised version feels like a completely new weapon. Now, in 2026, Lord Saladin has brought the Iron Banner back to the Tower, and with it comes a fresh chance to chase this standout Pulse Rifle. Whether you’re a veteran Guardian or a newcomer looking to expand your arsenal, Jorum’s Claw is well worth your time – it can roll with some truly stellar Perks that excel in both PvP and PvE.

Iron Banner isn't around every week, which makes planning essential. This special PvP event only visits the Tower three times per season, each visit lasting a single week. The first window has already closed, but Guardians still have two more opportunities to grab their Jorum’s Claw. Mark your calendars for the upcoming Iron Banner runs: April 4 – 11 and April 25 – May 2. During these periods, you can earn the weapon as a random drop at the end of matches or by focusing Iron Engrams at Lord Saladin. New players should note that you must complete the introductory quest " Forging Iron " before you can jump into the fray. One guaranteed copy of the pulse rifle is also available by ranking up with Saladin – and if you wear Iron Banner armor and use Iron Banner weapons, your reputation gains get a handy boost, speeding up the whole process.

The PvP God Roll – Laser Beams at Range

When I step into the Crucible with Jorum’s Claw, I want two things above all else: consistency and dueling power. The PvP god roll achieves that by stacking range and stability while reining in the recoil direction. Here’s the setup I recommend chasing:

  • Barrel: Extended Barrel – you lose a bit of handling, but the boosts to range and recoil direction make every burst feel tight and predictable.

  • Magazine: High-Caliber Rounds – this is a game changer on a pulse rifle. Each bullet staggers opponents more aggressively, throwing off their aim, and you also get a small range increase for good measure.

  • Perk 1: Iron Grip – this Iron Banner staple trades a massive stability bump for a noticeable reload speed penalty. In PvP, that trade-off is almost always worth it because the weapon barely moves during a burst.

  • Perk 2: Kill Clip – reloading after a kill grants a juicy damage buff that lets you chain multi-kills with fewer bursts. It turns Jorum’s Claw into a snowballing machine.

  • Origin Trait: Suros Synergy – a short bonus to handling and flinch reduction after a reload fits perfectly with the Kill Clip playstyle.

With this roll, you’ll be landing consistent three-bursts at ranges that surprise many opponents. The recoil is so predictable you can practically map enemies on longer lanes.

The PvE God Roll – Scorch Everything

PvE builds shift the focus to clearing adds and synergizing with Solar subclasses. While the barrel and magazine options remain largely the same as the PvP roll (Extended Barrel and High-Caliber Rounds still provide excellent feel), the real magic comes from the trait perks:

  • Perk 1: Outlaw – this practically removes the reload problem, triggering lightning-fast reloads on precision kills. You’ll never be caught empty-handed in the middle of a mob wave.

  • Perk 2: Incandescent – any Solar weapon that can roll this perk instantly becomes a top-tier pick. Defeating a target spreads Scorch to nearby enemies, and if enough Scorch stacks build up, those foes will ignite and cause chain reactions. Blowing up groups of red bars with a single burst never gets old.

  • Origin Trait: Suros Synergy – again, the handling and flinch reduction after reloading keep you smooth and responsive in chaotic firefights.

While there are certainly other strong pulse rifles in Destiny 2 – I’ve often heard debates comparing it to the Autumn Wind – Jorum’s Claw holds its own with this roll, especially if you’re running a Solar subclass and want to lean into ability regeneration and explosions.

For a deeper look at how these rolls perform in actual gameplay, the community legend Aztecross put together an excellent breakdown video that really helped me decide how to spend my Iron Engrams. After watching his footage and testing the rolls myself, I can confidently say this pulse rifle is a serious contender in the current sandbox. Don’t sleep on Iron Banner’s return – grab your god roll while the event is live.
